Controller in left hand, mouse in right hand.
left hand: L2 for grenades, L1 to aim if you don't like pressing right click on the mouse analog stick for movement/maximum strafing ability D-pad for push to talk or maps,
right hand: mouse aiming, left click to shoot
now you might be wondering "BUT HOW 2 RELOAD SIR?"
weapons automatically reload when you deplete their magazine. half the time you won't have to manually reach over and do it, and when you do need to reach over, you'll be able to do it fast enough to where you won't even notice you're using kobra-style
when you need to hack, chances are you already know a hack is coming up, so you can just manually switch to controller while you're hacking and swap back to mouse after it's done.
jumping is the same way. you shouldn't be bunny hopping in firefights, and can typically anticipate jumps when they're coming, so just like hacks, anticipate it ahead of time.
you should never use the triangle button period unless you're sniping
for vehicles obviously you need to switch back to controller only mode.
switching weapons can be done with the mouse wheel, as well as selecting equipment by holding it down.
that should cover just about everything.
now you have maximum strafing degrees and angles while having the most possible precise aiming and fastest turn speed.
Sorry to burst you bubble.. but i been using the Controller + Mouse combo since CS:S ( 2004, nearly 10 years ) so you can't claim been the pioneer |

That i can agree with... it takes lots of practice, and very quick hands. |

Anyway....
I use the "Duty Calls" configuration for the DS3.
- Radial menu L2, mouse to select equipment. - R2 for scope aim, shoot with mouse. - X to reload, quick switch from mouse to DS3 and back. - Mouse well to switch weapons. - R2 for grenade, again quick switch from mouse to DS3 and back. - Square to hack. - A to jump, when i need to jump i switch to full DS3 mode, and forget about the mouse for the time been. - Full DS3 mode for Vehicles, and running from objective to objective.. i only switch to the mouse when a fight starts.
The rest is very quick hands, and reflexes. |

Pandora Mars wrote:But... but... how do you set your DS3 and your mouse to work at the same time?
I'm so curious, I wanna try this thing!
Just plug in your mouse in the PS3 ... don't need to set anything ... Just select the "Duty Calls" configuration for your DS3, is the one that works the best for DS3+Mouse combo. |

If you meant sniping .. yes.. Scoping with L1 and shooting with the mouse helps.. but you still have to aim, you won't get kills just by magic. |
